According to the requirements of the "Saudi Product Safety Plan" (SALEEM) proposed by SASO, the Saudi Standards Organization, all commodities exported to Saudi Arabia need to submit an application through SABER system and obtain this Compliance Certificate (SCoC) before shipment, which will be required for customs clearance. SABER is an electronic platform to help local suppliers and factories register the required certificates of conformity electronically. Since SCoC certificate is applied and approved by SABER system, Saudi Arabia product safety certification is also called SABER certification.
The regulatory authority for SABER certification is SASO. Saudi Arabia Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) is an organization established in accordance with Royal Decree No. M/10 of March 3, 1392 and reported to the Minister of Commerce and Industry.
